Here is what I want to get:

    Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor T7500

Genuine Windows Vista(TM) Home Premium32 (Traditional Chinese)

14.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display with TrueLife(TM)

    2GB (2x1024) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM

    128MB DDR3 NVIDIA(R) GeForceTM 8400M GS

    Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945 Dual Band 802.11a/g 54Mbps Wireless Mini Card

Black Color with A/V Communication Package

    90W Primary AC Adapter (110V/220V)

6-Cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (1 Year Warranty)

    It costs in hk dollars:9866(us dollars:1262 / gb pound:615)

    Q.1 Is it worth it??
    Q.2 Phone or order online?
    Q.3 I had read some posts saying CPU doesn't have major effect when playing games only GPU does. Should I get T7100(1.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB) or T7300(2.0GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB) + hk dollars:900(us dollars:115 / gb pounds:56) or T7500 2.2GHz, 4MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB + hk dollars:1800(us dollars:230 / gb pounds:112)
Q.4 Does anyone know how it will take to build and ship if I order it this month? (Will it be ready at my door before 26th Aug?)

    thank you very much everyone!!!

Go with 1.8 ghz, the 2.0ghz and 2.2 is overkill, and you won't see a difference

    Q.1 What does overkill mean??

Q.2 With the 2.0ghz it comes with 4MB L2 Cache but 1.8ghz only 2MB L2 Cache, will it make any different???

well which screen you should get is realy a personal question, nobody knows how much screen real estate you need. you should just go to a store and look around at diff. resolution laptops and decide which one you like.

I'd probably drop down to the 2.0GHz if gaming's all your after. The extra cache over the 1.8GHz will help as will the extra clock speed.

kogaht, I use to live in hong kong~~ Ni hao ma?
haha. If i were you, ditch dell and go with a better, cheaper brand in hong kong. I know there is way better/upgrades in hong kong than usa. Just look around and if you can not find anything, wait for the computer discount summer sale (its coming around the corner). Too bad I left before I can purchase one from there.

    Peace,
    Clovet

you mean not dell right? There are no dell store in hk i think...
I don't really mind whether haven't a higher resolution or small resolution.

Q: 14.1 WXGA+ UltraSharpTM TFT , TrueLifeTM (1440x900), if i get that will it be thiner and lighterwith the 14.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280x800) TFT Display with TrueLife(TM)?

I am not bad but better when i get a laptop lol

cheaper brand? can you name some? I thought Dell was already cheap brand although it's a (quite?)big company. I can't wait too long because i see the all the shipping delays you guys have posted. And, I don't know if this will happen to Hong KOng shipping - that is why i want to ask you guys should i order by phone or on internet. I need one before aug when i go back to uk for study. Moreover, I quite like the 1420 because it's the only few laptops that have NVIDIA(R) GeForceTM 8400M GS or higher which the price is reasonable. So summer sale, no.

on the whole, it is quite good with NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory with only hk dollars: $2000 added but i prefer 14"

Q: Is there big different between NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory and 128MB DDR3 NVIDIA(R) GeForceTM 8400M GS?? What about GPU (how much different)??

Yes it is quite a big step up in performence. But if you don't game too much, then there isn't much point in getting it! Just a suggestion :)

the 8600GT uses more batteries than a 8400GS, which uses more than a X3100.
