    hi guys i have just picked up my inspiron at fedex and after a long research a have just realized i own a SEC display..does anyone had received this particular display with this notebook? how does yours look? mine its pretty bright and with no graininess but what i should do? stay withthe display or return it to dell?

    if you dont like bright and no graininess, i would return it.

    I have the same monitor brand as you (sec). If yours is anything like mine I'd keep it. I love my monitor. Its bright and has no graininess just like you said :)

    Well, then definitely return it just in case it does have the grainyness disease and you just don't notice it. And if the next one doesn't show any signs of grainyness, continue to return until you eventually receive one with grainyness.

    Only then will you definitely know what it is!

    Wow- only in the good ole USA are people so stupid and / or bored that they lament over whether they have a problem they cannot even observe.

    No such thing as a problem free product- only a problem yet to be discovered... brilliant!

    thanks..but i'd rather to go to my local best buy and compare notebook screens, so i'll find out what graininess is and what it is the big deal

    How come I'm the only one that didn't get a grainy screen?!? I WANT ONE! I'm returning mine ASAP, screw this crystal clear shiny clean screen!

    I have the Samsung display and I think it's perfectly fine. Bright, colors are good, and whites are white.
