I just realized that both the new Inspiron 14 and Studio 14z are numbered as the "1440". Usually Dell avoids duplicating the model number- Inspiron 1525, Studio 1535, Inspiron 1545, Studio 1555, etc.

    Am I reading correctly?

A new Studio 14 model was recently released and it's the 1458...who knows where they get these numbers, but at least it's unique!

They also duplicated another model number, but the original model has been out of production for two years- the 1520. The Inspiron 1520 ended production in 12/07 or 1/08 and currently there's the Vostro 1520...different time periods and consumer vs. small business division, so it's not as annoying as the 1440 screw-up, but there are literally thousands of 4-digit combinations for them to use......

And I'm sure Dell could care less....it's just driving us OCD freaks even more insane! :) :p ;)
