    Inspiron 1440 problem

    My daughter turns on her 1440 (just got it for xmas) this morning and gets some \Boot\BCD missing error. Hoping Windows Repair can fix it.

    Windows Repair should be able to fix that. It means that your boot configuration file is corrupt or missing, so that the computer can't find where Windows is on the HDD.

    That didn't work, I did a fresh install of Windows 7 which lasted a couple of days. I'm replacing her HDD with a WD Scorpio Blue.
