I've had this laptop for about a month now and Ive never tried taking the lid off until now (the top part that comes off). I have no idea how to get it off however. The manual says to just press the button at the back and slide it off but it doesn't budge, even if I use some force. Any ideas?

While pressing the button you need to pull the lid forward with the thumb on your other hand. It will slide forward about half an inch an then come off.
