I'm not sure how or when this occurred. Every time my system goes to launch one of the Windows screensavers the screen turns black and the mouse cursor spins like it's loading. If the screensaver manages to launch it's super slow. When I try to get out of the black screen the system hangs. It becomes difficult to get back into windows. This wasn't an issue before with performance and hanging. Anyone run into this issue? I have the laptop set to high performance with no hibernate or powering down. I tried with wifi/Bluetooth/Avira off. No dust accumulation has built up on vents. I even went as far as unplugged all Usb devices. Nothing seems to work. I don't want to do a system restore without figuring out what caused the issue to begin with.

If you preview the screen saver it launches with no issues and no hanging.
