My sisters inspiron 15N occasionally keeps dropping the wireless connection, now when this happens it causes everything on the network to disconnect and requires a router reboot. It uses a wifilink 1000 bgn, ive tried updating drivers and changed the router to b &g only which has helped but the drop out still happens especially when during a skype call for example. Every other pc/device works fine its just the inspiron with the wifilink 1000.
I have a wireless n 1000 in my xps and it works flawlessly so any tips here guys would be appreciated as its driving me insane. Oh i also flashed it to latest bios (A15).

Go to Start, device manager, network, Intel 1000 adapter, advanced. Look at the settings for antenna diversity. Some network cards have this and some don't. If you adapter has it, try changing it from Auto to Aux, then restart your computer.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
Perhaps you got a bum wireless card? Try a linux boot disc like Knoppix and see if it happens in Linux (I use Knoppix all the time for diagnosing driver/OS related issues).
