    Inspiron 1501 Battery drains after shutdown

    after I shutdown inspiron 1501 from vista or xp, the laptop shuts down, but when I remove the AC power adapter,the Caps lock, Num Lock and Scroll lock turns ON and the battery gets drain. Whats the problem, it did not happened earlier. When I remove the battery, then this problem is resolved.
