I recently bought my inspiron and can't seem to get it to connect to services like Yahoo Messenger, Limewire, Bittorrent, etc.
It's not my internet connection, as other people on my network are having no problem with these programs. I'm running Windows XP.

    help?

Try to run in safe mode with networking (start tapping F8 after restarting the system) and see if you're able to connect. It might be a conflict in your internet settings with your security software. You may also try a clean boot and see if it works.
