    Great Forum! :)

I am a first-time laptopper. I just received my 1505 notebook and I am pleased with every aspect except the mouse buttons-- They are very loose and feel extremely cheap. My concern is the buttons will wear out prematurely.

    1. Has anyone else experienced these "mushy buttons" on the 1505?

    2. Is this cause for concern, as far as long-term durability?

    3. If I return the laptop within Dell's 21-day window, is it true there is a 15% restocking fee?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Mine touchpad keys are stiff and very uncomfortable. I can tell you that with extended use, it doesn't get any better.

Yes, there is a 15% restocking fee + shipping fees unless you can prove something is wrong with the laptop and it is Dell's fault.

There's nothing wrong with your computer, the mouse buttons are made that way. Why they did this, nobody knows. Some people like it, most don't.

Hey i just realised i like the mouse buttons. First time i used them i didn´t like them either, but they have grown on me. I especially like the fact that theres no awful click noise. Am i the only one?

I don't mind them. I only use the right-mouse button however...for left-click I just use the mouse pad itself.

I prefer these buttons. There's no annoying click and they're "easier" to push.

I am more concerned about the long term durability of the buttons, rather than how "hard" they are to push. If they feel loose now, they will be fully depressed (pressed down) after a few months use.

    Mouse buttons? What mouse buttons?

I have it configured that tapping on the top of the pad will middle click (for closing tabbed windows in firefox), tapping on the bottom left will right click (screwed myself up here - when using regular mice, I left click for right and right click for left. Oi.), and tapping on the bottom right runs a recorded sequence of keys to close any window (what? we all have stuff to hide. :p). Tapping anywhere else registers a left click. I love it.

As for the buttons, they feel super ****py and I despise them. I am positive they will break if I look at them the wrong way.
