Does anyone know or have any idea if Dell might bring out a bios update for the Inspiron 1520 series so that it can support the new Penryn T8xx and T9xx CPU's ?

    Thanks.

BIOS version A03 added support for "newer Intel Processor" so, unless anything new besides Penryn came out since the release, my guess is it's possibly compatible.

Why would you wanna upgrade anyways.. Not much of a difference unless you do things that could use the extra 2mb of cache...

    bumping the thread.

I would love to upgrade to a Penryn at some point in the future as coming from my 1.5GHz processor would make a very good upgrade.
