Is it possible to disable sleep mode when you close the lid? I want an external monitor, mouse, and keyboard -- it'll make my desk area look less messy, if that makes any sense.

Yes it's possible. XP or Vista?

Assuming you are using vista. Click on the power icon in the notification area, open more power options. Go to more power options in the active power plan. At the bottom of the page there is a link to advanced power settings. From there go to the power buttons and lid, set it to what suits you.

My bad, I completely forgot to mention I had Vista. Must have been the hours of gaming today .____.''

    But thanks!
