I upgraded my motherboard and video card to the 8600m GT form the x3100. Now the problem I had was I had to hack up the heat sync.

I would like to buy a heat sinc form Dell ... BUT ... I have the wrong service tag. Can someone with the 8600 or 8400 post or pm a service tag so I can see just what heat sync I need. Dell won't do anything unless I have a service tag and when I give them my service tag it comes up the wrong one.

No one should give this info out. You can call up dell spare parts and ask for the part.
