Sorry if this has already been addressed, I couldn't find anything on the subject!!

Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off the blue light that comes on when the webcam is in use??

It makes everything on the cam go blue and really light which makes it hard to see anything!!

    Please help :)

Its just a light to show that the webcam is on. Try adding more lighting around you to get a better picture.

By adding more lights it makes the cam even brighter. People's face when using my cam go white and only eyes and certain features are visible :(

interesting observation. I don't have this problem with my camera. Have you tried resetting camera settings in Dell's app? Perhaps someone change those settings from their default values.

You could also always cover it with a slip of paper and a clip or tape :p

I didn't order the web cam though so I don't have any other advice :|

I think its a security feature to show the light, so there isn't any possibility of you leaving your webcam on by mistake and perhaps getting embarrassed later by any 'incident'. ;)

Have you tried adjusting the screen settings? It might just be that your monitor is turned up so high it washes everything out. Dont know if that will help but my cam doesn't have that prob so it's hard to really know.
