When I try to overclock my 8600GT using ntune, I use the slider to a new frequency, hit apply, it automatically tests the new settings and even if it says Passed! it immediately resets the speeds when I hit OK.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it? I've tried reinstalling ntune and using rivatuner, but they both have the same problem. I'm using driver version 165.01.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I DID search. I got a lot of "Post your best overclocks!" And "my Inspiron is the greatest overclocker!"

Thx a bunch for your wonderful help.

Thanks, this actually USEFUL response was what I was looking for. I like the 165 driver too much to downgrade, I'll wait for a similar one that allows overclocking.

    Thanks.
