I just installed the 162.18 drivers and when i start my computer up everything works fine for a few seconds and then i get a bsod. My computer only works in safe mode in safe mode now. Is there anyway to fix the problem without having to go back to the crappy stock drivers? HELP!!!

Try a different set off NVidia drivers? Or go look around and see what version other 1520 users are using?

Don't worry. Boot up in safe mode, uninstall the drivers and reinstall the original dell drivers. There in c:\drivers\video\R159774. (At least they are for my 1520 with a 8600M GT) Now you're back where you started. :)

I'm using 163.44 drivers. They work good for me. I think I lost a little performance in BF2 and 2142. 1-3 FPS but the images look better and F.E.A.R. improved a whole bunch. 19 FPS minium under the performance test to 27 FPS minium same setting in 1440 x 900.

PS. RivaTuner 2.03 is suppose to support drivers 163.44.

If this happend right after you installed the 162.18 drivers, did you download the Vista drivers or the XP ones? I was in a hurry the first time I downloaded new drivers for my 1520, went to www.laptopvideo2go.com, hit the download section, clicked on 162.18 and downloaded them with the mod'd inf. Installation went fine, then a few minutes after I installed them BSOD.. or when I entered any game.. BSOD. I then realized I didn't click on the Vista 32bit option before downloading the drivers. I had installed the XP drivers by mistake. Just a thought.

By the way, I have been using the 163.44 drivers for some time now (the ones that say BIOSHOCK) and havn't had any troubles.

    Good Luck

I installed the 162.18 drivers on my laptop and it's been working fine. Actually not fine, better than stock drivers :) I have had no problems or BSOD with them.
