Have sold off my 1520 for 1 month, recently the buyer called me, saying that the DVD ROM vibrating abnormally when there is a DVD spinning in it, he claimed that the problem only occured recently and before that he has no problem playing DVD movies or reading DVD content. Wondering if anyone encountering the same problem ?

Why don't he just call Dell and ask for a replacement, they'll replace anything if you're unhappy..no joke.. I got my DVD-Rom replaced cuz I just down right wanted to. lol
It's not uncommon for CD-drives to vibrate or be loud when spinning a disk at full speed.. Every drive I've had sounds like a jet engine, desktop and laptop wise. -
It may not be the problem of DVD ROM. It may be the problem of particular discs that are not balanced. Maybe have the guy gry different disc instead. If it's the DVD ROM, try to unscrew the DVD ROM and re-insert it back. Sometimes it's the cover lid hitting the edge of the case. If all not helping... call Dell. Dell will ship you a replacement.
