Got my laptop about a month ago and need a new battery as the computer will not load up without being plugged to mains. Anyway for no apparent reason the laptop will freeze up for about a minute for no apparent reason when surfing the net or other similar activity. I checked the CPU usage and it was at a normal level and have finally discovered through the Resource Monitor that the Disk is running at 100% even though read/write bits are at the same level as when it is running at about 5%?

Anythoughts on why this may be?

    Thanks
