Starting at 48 seconds - you see the back cover of the Inspiron 1520 Jet Balck. The video's a little grainy so I can't make out how glossy the black is - but to me it doesnt look very glossy - almost coarse plasticky like the Thinkpads. I could be wrong - what do you guys think? If its not smooth and Glossy, I may have to rethink the color and go with Midnight blue....

To me it looks like straight up matte black. I don't care what kind of black it is... matte or glossy, it'll look cool :D. Which is why I got black.

To be honest, I think matte looks better than glossy. For comparison, see black Macbooks v White ones.

it's all in a persons taste ...my bro has a matte lenovo screen and my dad got a glossy gateway. i prefer the glossy much more because the colours are brighter and sharper.

    whatever suits your needs :)
