    Hello,

I was wondering how could I make the leds turn on for the Media Direct and Power button ? I never saw them lit.

I remember sawing an Inspiron with these buttons being lit with a blue led.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure these are LED buttons? They look like they are painted black to me.

You probably saw a different model or you were drunk, cause Frazell's right, it's painted black.

    Nice guess Sepharite :)

They are grey, and the supposed-to-be-there blue led is in a shape of a circle, surrounding each button. Hope I wasn't drunk though :D but as far as I can remember they were lit on a notebook of the same model I saw.

I just took that bezel off to check. there are no LED's under the buttons. there is just the 3 LED's that are between the two buttons. The buttons themselves have a solid plastic-chrome coating. No LED can show through them.

    Sorry.

FourForty - thanks for the info.

Seems I sure as hell must have been drunk or looking at another model...

You shouldn't have made the effort to open it up. I`m sorry... It's good to know it's been sorted out. Thank you again.

No problem. it only takes two seconds to pop that thing off.

Yeah, you might have been looking at a different model/manufacturer. A lot of electronics have that lit-ring around the buttons nowadays. easy to get them confused. The buttons do look like they should be lit now that i think of it. might of been a nice touch if they did it.
