i'm currently on windows xp with my inspiron 1520 laptop. I'm going to reformat and install windows xp again, now i got a faster SSHD and would like to use AHCI mode. I would like to slipstream the AHC f6 drivers for the inspiron 1520 into the installation. However i've been googling and i can't find it. Doing google search leads to dead links and some links to intel that drivers that are not compatible..

Does anyone have the AHCI f6 driver for the inspiron 1520 or know a link to a compatible working one? THAnKS alot!

Yes. That's the driver I've used when I did a clean install on a 1520.

In my case, I didn't bother slipstreaming the driver into the installation media, though. It's much simpler for me to plug in an external USB floppy drive temporarily, so slipstreaming is too much work for how little I'd need it.

But it's the same driver you'd use either way, slip-streaming or F6-floppy, and it works fine.
