    Hi all,
I only want to ask if there is some power decrease when I use only 65W adaptor with my laptop (specs in sig). I made a terrible mistake when ordering it, but I don't have enough money now to buy a new, powerfull one (I recently bought a new car...). But in the near future I want to buy it, so can I get more power or at least faster charge up time?? Thx for replies.

I think depending on what your specs are it might not let you run the thing at full speed. Like on my D830 if I plug in a 65W adapter, it'll tell me the 65W unit is insufficient and downclock the T7300 to around 600MHz. And yes, it will take longer to charge the battery as well.

It should not harm your computer to use the 65W unit though; I think Dell has taken steps to ensure that it's safe.

I think that I wrote it badly...NOW I have 65W adaptor and I want to know what would change if I buy the 90W one.

Now when I plug in my adaptor message pops up saing that I have connected only 65W adaptor and my system maybe won't run at full speed. But I didn't notice that CPU or GPU is underclocked or whatever. Only time to charge battery is incredibly long, so I hope that with new 90W adaptor it will be charged more quickly. (For example, now with 65W adaptor, time to charge is about 3-4 hours when I only browse internet). If only the charge time will increase it will be great :)

The 90W adapter will decrease your charge time by something around a third or a half I venture.
