My Inspiron 1520 can't connect to SMC8014W-G. I'm using the Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card. My settings for the wireless are set to Auto (instead of W or G). And the Channel is set to 11. I tried other channels but it's the same deal. The router is at all default settings, with a level 1 WEP. My room mate can connect, but I can't. We're both using Vista.

    Any ideas?

Is it showing the wireless connection at all?

Yeah. It's showing up. The WEP key is correct. And I can connect, it even says it's connected. But the bottom right, the internet icon --the two blue computers, there isn't a Globe to indicate that I'm connected. Except I'm not. (I'm using LAN right now).
