When I don't have any sound running through my headphones, I get a Morse Code-esque static sound coming through my headphones. In addition, when I am transmitting audio via ventrilo, the other people can hear the static. Is there anything that I can really do about this?

dude, search the forums....theres like a thousand threads on the same thing. Anyway, no, there doesn't seem to be a fix for this. You can always get an external sound card though.
