Hello and thank you all for your helpful responses
I've been getting a weird error. When my computer's lid is shut, the computer goes into sleep mode (I believe). When I hit the power button again, the computer locks up (display does not show up, music stutters continuously)
I am running my computer on Windows XP. Is there a fix to this/anyone else see this problem?
Thanks in advance![]()

You can disable the computer so it dosent go into sleep mode when you close the lid if you go into power options on the control panel. There will be a feild saying: When i close the lid of my computer, and you just choose: do nothing.

Alight, thanks, but what if I do want it to go into sleep mode? It seems to lock up when I do so...

I have not really experienced this before.
So it freezes up and you cant do anything? -
Yeah, it goes into Standy By, then when I push the power button, it locks up.
-
It might be because of the dispaly/videocard drivers. If you experience a freeze up of the image/black screen.

Yeah, unfortunately they are still being optimized, thanks for your help, i'll just leave it in "Do Nothing" mode now.

ok, no problem. Hope you get it straightend out.
