Hello and thank you all for your helpful responses

I've been getting a weird error. When my computer's lid is shut, the computer goes into sleep mode (I believe). When I hit the power button again, the computer locks up (display does not show up, music stutters continuously)

I am running my computer on Windows XP. Is there a fix to this/anyone else see this problem?

    Thanks in advance :D

You can disable the computer so it dosent go into sleep mode when you close the lid if you go into power options on the control panel. There will be a feild saying: When i close the lid of my computer, and you just choose: do nothing.

Alight, thanks, but what if I do want it to go into sleep mode? It seems to lock up when I do so...

Yeah, it goes into Standy By, then when I push the power button, it locks up.

It might be because of the dispaly/videocard drivers. If you experience a freeze up of the image/black screen.
