I tried recording my piano playing using Audacity and Sound Recorder, but when I played back, the notes are literally higher than they are. Also, it distorts to the point where it shouldn't be listened to anyone. And nah, I've had lessons, I think my playing is okay ><''

    Any ideas?

I know that's a problem with some recordings (especially cassette) about pitches being off, but that sounds extreme. Sound drivers up-to-date?

    Oh, and mic drivers?

I'm assuming no (but I did get this laptop in December), where would I find these wonderful drivers? =)

In device manager you can click on the devices and choose to update them, or from the Dell website support.dell.com

There should be a link right there that says Drivers & Downloads. See attached.

I found the solution, it wasn't the drivers. For those who might the same problem, disable the enhancements in the Sound - Recording, in the Control Panel.

Thanks for the help though, Pixel.
