    Hey,

I live in Australia, and on the Australian Dell site, the E1705(9400) is going for the same price as the new 1520, which is $1699 AU.

Which one do you rekon is the better deal here? WIll there be any better deals for the 1520 anytime soon?

    Here are the specs:

    Inspiron 1520

    - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450 (1.66GHz/ 667 FSB/ 2MB Cache)
    - 2GB RAM
    - 160GB harddrive
    - 15.4" WXGA (1440x900) Display with TrueLife
    - 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 8600M GT
    - Vista home premium

    = $1699

    Inspiron 9400

    - Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5300 (2MB Cache, 1.73GHz, 533MHz FSB)
    - 2GB Ram
    - 120GB hardrive
    - 17" WGXA with truelife
    - 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400
    - Windows Vista Home Premium

    = $1699

    Welcome to the forum,

The 1520 is definitely better if you planning on gaming. The 8600m GT is very powerful card and will blow away the x1400 in games. Also since the 1520 is a 15.4in laptop it would be more mobile/portable(17in lappies are big/bulky/heavy) then a 17in lappy(but its personal preference)

Check the dell Coupon tab on top for coupons for the E1520

I game a bit...not too much though, but it's always good to have the better graphics card, yeh.

Has anyone on these forums recieved their 1520 yet? If so, how is it?
