I've been trying to figure out what is wrong w/ my webcam since last week when I got my laptop. It seems to be working ok for photo and video recording when I set the resolution to 320x240, it shows colors ok and seems to work fine in that resolution. When I try to change the resolution to anything higher the image color and quality change completely.
The image seems to have a greenish tint to it and it tends to show red lines across the whole image. I don't know if this is the way this camera works but it sure is crappy.
Can anyone with a webcam help? I have an inspiron 1520 and would like to know if when you guys switch resolution the image quality and color stays relatively the same. I would also like to see some shots with the lower resolution as well as some with the higher resolution.
any help is appreciated.

I can't figure out what the issue is. At 320x240 the picture looks OK, at anything higher the image looks green and shows some lines across the screen. -
I think that there's a problem with your webcam, on the same webcam on my 1420 quality stays the same when changing resolution with the exception of some grain at high resolution.

There are three controls for adjusting Brightness, Contrast and one more....
Try adjusting those to get rid of those green tint...
