Lately my wifi has not been coming on automatically. if i shut it off with the switch and the shut down the computer and reboot. once I get it to the desktop I turn the switch on then the wifi will work. any other way it doesnt. so I have this work around but was in the problem? is it the card or the switch not engaging at start up. thank you for your help.

    Hi,

I would try if reinstalling the drivers does help.

What you can also check is reseating the WLAN adapter - this is described in the service manual you can get on Dell support website.
