    Inspiron 1520: resets the screen res. to 1024x768 on Win startup!?

    I don't know what might cause that. Do you guys have any ideas? Windows boots up with the right res (1440xsmth) but then when the sidebar loads the screen suddenly switches from the native to lower 1024x768!
    Any solutions?

    i had this same problem.. i reinstalled the drivers for the 8600 via windows update and no issues since then
