    Inspiron 1525 Fan Noise

    Just got one of these and the fan seems to kick in an awfull lot, is their anyway to control this thanks guys.

    download some sort of software for this. go to the cooling central on nbr. also what u can do is do everything that applies to in th cooling cent. undervolting, using a cooling pad....

    I don't think you can control the fan. Actually, this is one of the reasons I returned 1525 back to Dell. I expect a much quieter notebook from Dell. I used to own a Toshiba Satellite, it was just like this Dell, the fan kicked in all the time. I got another cheap Toshiba Satellite last year, it was a lot more quieter. 1525 fan noise is unacceptable, and it also kick in even when the notebook is in sleep mode (I was using the default power saving stettings, it went to sleep mode after a certain period of idling.)

    I no what you mean their seems to be no reason for it ,it is not even running hot!. Also when using cpuz it is showing my cpu spped changing all the time with speedstep,even when i set it to 100% in power management any reason why.
