My Inspiron 1525 keeps shutting down after an hour of operation,no matter what I am doing. I have set all the defaults to "do nothing" no matter what. It shuts down when I am in the middle of an operation, such as an on-line purchase and I have to start all over with the purchase. Anyone have any ideas?

Is it your OS that's shutting your machine down, or is it some kind of hardware issue? Like does it go through the Windows shutdown procedure or just cut off?

Have you monitored your temperatures? Have you scanned your machine for viruses/malware?
