My daughter has a Dell Inspiron 1525 that we purchased for her 09/17/08. We can turn the computer on but it will not boot up. I have ran the PSA (?) and received an error code of 2000-0142. Does anyone know if this is something I can repair? I would be very grateful for any help. She really needs this computer for school and funds are super tight around here (with the economy the way it is) Thanks in advance for your help.

I also ran the "express test" and received this information:

    Error Code - 0F00:065D
    Message Disk_0-selftest reader error

Sounds like a hard drive read error. Go to the Dell Support website and search for your error messages. They should give you more detail.
