I'm trying to figure out if I can upgrade the CPU in my 1526. Right now I have the AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-60 2.0GHZ. Please let me know.

All these views, but no one can help with an answer?

    TL-62 2100 MHz (512 KiB L2-Cache per core)
    TL-64 2200 MHz (512 KiB L2-Cache per core)
    TL-66 2300 MHz (512 KiB L2-Cache per core)
    TL-68 2400 MHz (512 KiB L2-Cache per core)

What are you planning on doing? CPU speed have no bearing on system responsiveness and boot time. Even these upgrades are barely a huge jump in frequency and Turion CPU's run HOT.

I was just curious. Am I able to swap in an intel cpu or will I have to do a motherboard swap?

You would have to do a motherboard swap out of a 1525 to get an intel chip. It might not be practical to do so ... You'll likely need a different motherboard and different heat sink. At that point, you're looking at almost half the cost of a new laptop.
