    Hi Folks,

New to this so please excuse incompetence.

My wife has an Inspiron 1545 running Windows 7 32bit. Goes well normally but has just started behaving strangely.

Periodically - sometimes every 20 mins or so and at other times every couple of hours - gets a warning that the Dell Back-up has failed and the machine immediately re-boots!! Very irritating for me since i, like most husbands, am expected to be able to fix all things immediately!

Anyone any ideas as to how to fix this? (please don't say change wife :) )

    Thanks,

    Ian

Dell DataSafe backup has nothing to do with your laptop rebooting. Rebooting without warning usually implies a hardware issue, like overheating or a short-circuit somewhere.
