I have installed the Windows 7 Release Candidate on my new 1545. I would like to increase the touchpad pressure to very hard from its middle of the road setting. I moved the marker all the way to the right, applied it and checked OK.

There was no change in pressure required so I repeated the steps again except I moved the marker to the far right. Still no change in the pressure required. I have installed the Alps driver that I got from somewhere on the web -- I don't remember where.

Can someone help me increase the pressure?

    Thank you.

Try using the official Dell driver for the 1545 from their own Drivers and Downloads page, at support.dell.com

    Thank you.

Good suggestion but, unfortunately, that did not solve the problem. BTW, all the other items 'take' -- Touchpad speed and Taps. Only the Touch Sensitivity doesn't.
