My laptop wont turn on at all. When plugged in, I'll press the power button and the fans will start for about a few seconds then stop. Also the screen will blink once then nothing will happen. If I hold down the power button the computer will do the same thing as stated above. If anyone knows how to troubleshoot this problem please let me know.

    I would:

    - Test the AC adapter with a multimeter

    - Use a known good Dell 90 watt AC adapter

    - Remove the battery and AC adapter and hold down the power button for 30 seconds 2-3 times.

If it still doesn't turn on, sounds like a power circuitry issue with your motherboard. 1545 parts are pretty cheap these days..
