Dell allows any wireless adapter. The 5300 is a good one. The third antenna can either be left off, or added on. On ebay you can find "tycho" antennas. They usually come in pairs and are intended to be added as additional antennas in laptops. It can be routed anywhere.

    thanks.

I purchased the one from ebay, it comes with the third antenna. Can I open up my lappy without voiding the warranty?
do I just stick the antenna to the casing?

Dell is fine you doing minor work to the laptop.

I put my third antenna into the display with the other two, but you can really stick it anywhere.
