Does anyone here have this problem?

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 15R-1847MRB from Staples and even after updating to the latest BIOS (A12), the fan still randomly starts up every few minutes and stays on (and it's loud) for 20-30 seconds. There is no extra CPU load. I had closed all applications, except Process Explorer, which doesn't show any process consuming more than 5% CPU when the fan ramp up happens.

The random fan noise is really annoying in a library or classroom, when all I do is type, with Wi-Fi off.

I posted about this in a thread on Dell's community, and got a reply which was promptly deleted. Here's the reply I received via the thread notification e-mail:

I have 4 of them, no fan issues, or any other issues. Why don't you get Dell to look at it ?
