Hi,
I recently ordered a Dell Inspiron 15z (the Core i5 model that's $100 more expensive than the base model) from Dell's site for around $780 total.
Order date was 17\06\13. EDD is 01\07\13. The problem is, the EDD is only 3 business days away and it still hasn't left the "In Production" phase. Even if they ship today (today's already half over where I live), I still don't think it could make it in time. Do you think I'm going to get screwed over like some people have or do you think it may only get delayed a few days? I didn't order anything fancy. The only thing I upgraded from the base model was the processor - Core i5 instead of Core i3 - that's it. Nothing too over-the-top.
I guess what I'm really asking for is some insight into Dell's practices\service and whether my concerns are justified or not. Has your experience with Dell been any good? Have they shipped on-time for you? Early? Late?
I live in Canada (as you no doubt have guessed from the flag). The province of Ontario to be exact. I don't know if Dell is any different up here than it is for you US folks (eh), but I thought giving you my location might help.
