    Inspiron 15z vs Studio 15

    The 15z is going for $409 with a dell coupon link.

    The studio 15 is going for $449 on the website.


    I like the 15z because of the size, but is this an older model than the studio? They both have very similar specs.

    I believe one of the biggest differences is the that the Inspiron 15z (1570) uses low wattage Intel Core 2 Duo chips while the Studio uses a Pentium Dual Core that is most likely faster. I think the 15z might be a newer design than the Studio. I know the design as far as case is unchanged from the Studio 15 (1557) to the current Studio 15 (1558).

    Oh, and the 15z comes with a 4 cell battery, 15 comes with a 6. Probably about the same battery life since the 15z uses the low wattage CPUs. You get another GB of RAM and a larger HD with the Studio as well.
