I have a Dell Inspiron 1721 notebook. It has two internal hard drive bays for SATA drives. I need a mounting cover and the adapter (male/male) to plug the drive in (for a second drive).

Can't find 'em on Dell's crap website. Suggestions?

I've tried contacting Dell. I've spent a couple hours playing phone games so far...

Looks like the PN on the hard drive cover is either CN-0FP444-69400-76R-0528 or 3HGM2HBW100.

The SATA adapter piece has 0722 3 on it.

C7586 Hard Drive Carrier for HDD bay #2
XK231 Interposer (interfaces HDD to laptop)

I just recieved the above items today via DHL and they are
    correct for my Inspiron 1720.

I did not bother to order the screws as the Dell (Spares Parts) rep told
me it was $10 per screw ..... yes .... $70 for the seven screws. I believe
it was a mistake on the reps part ... as it is more reasonable for an entire kit
to be $10. I refused to argue, so I got the 2 parts listed for $30 shipped.

Four of the screws are the standard screws used to hold a 2.5" drive
    to just about any bracket.

The remaining three screws are slightly smaller and can probably be pulled
from other computers/laptops - just compare size / thread
to the existing screws on the HDD1 carrier.
