    I have Vista 32bit and a TSSTcorp_DVD+-RW_TS-L632H which I flashed to D500 firmware.

I started having problems burning Dual Layer DVDs. I use Memorex with the Ritek-S04-66 die and ImgBurn. It will start trying to set the L0 layer break and take forever. If I put my ear on the keyboard I can hear the Drive trying and re trying and making all sorts of ugly noises. After a while it continues to fill the disc with data and then again takes forever to finalize and close the disc, making the same ulgy noises.

Before I started having this problem I had no issues burning DVDs from the same spindle, so I don't think it's brand related. I would also add that I have NO problems burning Single Layer DVDs.

    Any advice would be helpful.

To be honest, this drive seems to have a lot of issues from all the complaints about it I see on the forum. Have you tried an alternative burning software?
