    Hi,

Hoping someone might have encountered this problem before. I have a 3 year old Inspiron 1720 running Vista Home Premium with a recently (about 12 months ago) replaced HDD. Has been running fine until about 2 weeks ago when it's started randomly coming up with a Boot error on startup (not everytime, totally random). If I go into the Boot Menu and use the reinstall disk to repair it it'll re-start fine, but then a few days later the same problem re-occurs.

I've done a full virus scan (using Trend Micro Internet Security Pro - latest version and up to date) and checked the start-up menu for strange files but can't seen anything suspiscious.

Is this the first signs of a hardware failure or maybe something else??

    Any suggestions appreciated!!

    Thanks :)
