    So, recently I bumped into this thread regarding the wxga screens on the 15 inch laptops http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=154196.

    I have visited a Dell kiosk near my school and checked out the inspiron 1720 (which is essentially the vostro 1700) and it was the 1440x900 screen. Great! Actually not so great. I couldn't check to see if it was AUO or LG but considering how nasty the view angles were, I assume it was the AUO one.

    My question is, I don't see much talk on the 17 inch screens. Does the 1700/1720 use similar wxga+ screens that the 15 inch laptops use? Or are all 17 inch wxga+ screens a POS with horrible view angles?
