    Hey guys, heres the score....

Purchased a hopped up 1720 with a 256MB Geforce 8600M GT from Dell. Vista sucked all the fun (Read: Resources) out of gaming on it so I managed to switch over to Windows XP.

I have managed to get all of the proper drivers for everything but the 8600M GT, Dell's suggested driver (R180917.exe, also known as "6.14.11.7431") works like crapola (On XP at least) with "nv_4display driver errors", blue screens of death, etc....

Anything newer than Dell's derelict driver?

*Note: I tried searching for info on this on the forums, but couldn't find an actual link to said driver.

    Thanks in advance!

www.laptopvideo2go.com has what you need. Check out their drivers and the modded INFs to support notebook GPUs.

Agreed! This is what I had to do to get the most from mine.

Yeah just get those modded drivers from LV2G and you're good to go. I'm using Vista and seems to be faster and got a base score of 5.3... But I agree, long live XP. :p
