Previous BIOS: A07. Updated to A09. I've been using I8KFANGUI to keep things cool. Usually CPU temps are in the upper 30's C. With the update to A09, I8KFAN only 'cools' the CPU temp from 50C or so to 48C. Only 2C difference.

Is there anything I should change in the BIOS or I8KFAN to achieve the same level of coolness (physical coolness, that is!) that Bios A07 had?

if you want to cool things down you can always downclock it. i use power management to control the maximum & minimum processor states..whenever im using the laptop on my lap, i set it to powersaver. downclocked the proccessor to 0.8Ghz. under normal usage internet its about 44, but will quickly move to 48 as well with a little extra activity as it goes to 1.6Ghz..
sadly i am yet to find a way to control the fans.. have you

    Thanks for the tip.

The only thing I have found that works with the fans is that I8KFAN program, but only on low or high, nothing in between. :(
