    Hi!

I have a 1720 with Vista as my only OS. A while ago I tried to wipe it and install Vista (clean install) and the installation froze 3 times and never completed. I then decided to keep the old "dell" installation from factory.

Now, I got a 2nd HD, and would like to install XP Pro on it.

1: Which SATA drivers do I need to slipstream into the XP installation disc?

Is it the RAID/AHCI Software - IntelĀ® Matrix Storage Manager?

2: Let's say I remove my 1st HD, and install XP this way...
How do I make Vista aware of the XP installation so that I get a "which OS would you like to start" prompt?

    Thanks!
