Ok, I'll be the first to admit that I am a newbie when it comes to laptops. Gimme a desktop and I know how to do almost all of the modifications (swapping HDDs, processors, DVD drives, RAM, sound cards, video cards, etc.).

I've seen in pictures that my 1721 has a bay for a second HD. How do I go about installing a second drive? Will it be recognized as a separate HD or is that second drive intended to be for RAID use?

I have 4 external hard drives from an old Dell desktop that equate to about half a TB of memory, so I settled for a 80 GB HD on my 1721. If possible, I'd like to install upwards of a 250 GB HD in that second bay...

Any questions or comments are welcome...thanks!
