I have an Inspiron 1721 that I've installed XP on. I have found all the drivers for this system, and everything works well. My issue is all of a sudden everything starts running slow. I fire up cpuz and see that the system is running at 798MHz. The power setting is set to "always on", and that’s another funny thing. The power setting change at random. I.e. The system standby time, hibernate, and even the advanced settings like what to do when the lid is closed, they all just change for no reason. Oh I also have disabled the AMD Power Now in the bios and it still throttles the CPU down. I really need help with this because I hate Vista and this laptop is unbearable when it’s throttled down
